Our junior students can now enjoy lessons with new practice nets that more closely resemble the real thing! Our new practice nets will more effectively aid younger players in transitioning to a full size format, a sometimes intimidating step. Practicing with these smaller nets builds skills that help younger players improve their form and understanding of tennis mechanics. Our junior members are the future of the sport and catering to their experience is important to us. Training with the right equipment goes a long way and is always a worthwhile investment. Stop by the Barn and speak with a Pro about lessons for your children today!

A Word on Snow

To quote Aubrey, “This sort of weather is exactly why we built the Barn in the first place!”. We are always open regardless of the weather outside. Conditions inside the barn are optimal for play and the lot is plowed each morning after snow falls. Members that have difficulty travelling to their scheduled playtimes are asked to call the other members of their group before notifying the Barn. If only one or two are unable to make it, we can find substitute players. This is a preferred alternative to cancelations, however, we do understand that the weather can cause unsafe road conditions. If your group decides to cancel, make up dates can be arranged. Thanks everybody! Stay warm and Happy Holidays!

Now in effect!: Junior Mixer night at the Tuscarora Tennis Barn! This is a weekly event where players rotate through friendly matches with each other with an emphasis on exercising, learning/building tennis skills, and just having fun. The junior mixer will be modeled after the adult mixer with an earlier time and is open to players of all skill levels. You do not need a membership to sign up for the mixer so it is a great way for anybody to come and check out the club! The junior mixer will be held every Saturday from 5:30-7:30pm and provides an easy going atmosphere for anyone and everyone to come and just play some tennis without focusing on competition. Sign-up sheets are at the front desk in the pro-shop. Parents- don’t forget about the adult mixer on Friday evenings from 8-10pm! It’s a great opportunity to get out, catch up with friends, find partners, and just play! Sign-up sheets for the adult mixer are located on the cork board in the hallway between the Barn’s front door and lounge. We hope you’re as excited as we are for this new and fun program! See you there!
